Our commitment
The Walker County Revenue Commissioner's Office is committed to making this website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We are working to ensure that our digital content meets the accessibility standards required under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Standards we follow
This website aims to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as required by the U.S. Department of Justice for state and local government websites under 28 CFR Part 35, Subpart H.
Current conformance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address these areas before the federal compliance deadline of April 26, 2027.
Known accessibility limitations
We are aware of the following areas where this website may not fully meet accessibility standards:
- PDF documents: Some PDF documents on this website, including auction documents, rules, flyers, and forms, may not be fully accessible to screen readers or other assistive technologies. We can provide accessible versions of these documents upon request.
- Third-party payment and search portals: This website links to external services for online tax payments, business personal property filings, parcel searches, and tax lien auctions. These services are operated by separate providers (including altags.com, govease.com, and walkercountymaps.com), and we have limited control over their accessibility. If you encounter accessibility issues using these third-party services, please contact our office and we will assist you in completing your transaction.
- Older content: Content created before our compliance date and retained for reference, research, or recordkeeping purposes may not meet current accessibility standards. Accessible versions are available upon request.
